Concert performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado with full cast of costumed soloists from The Grims Dyke Opera Company
It’s a long time since Sevenoaks Philharmonic performed one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic works so we are excited to give this concert performance of The Mikado which whilst first performed in 1885, went on to be Gilbert and Sullivan’s longest running collaboration, with over 627 consecutive performances at their resident Savoy Theatre and thousands of performances worldwide.
We are delighted on this occasion to be joined by a full cast of experienced soloists from the Grims Dyke Opera Company who will perform in costumes handed down from the great D’Oyly Carte company, with whom several of the soloists have performed their roles.
